Well this little princess slept the whole night! From 830 til about 730 this
morning.... it was wonderful. This morning she was able to skype meet her Gugu (brother) and both Jie-Jie(s)..The kids were super excited, and just kept saying hello to her. She waved hello to them when i asked her too.
After that , we had breakfast, then had to meet our guide and notary to sign some papers. We had a couple of hours free time before heading to civil affairs to make it official. Signing this docs; makes her a Conde kid. And we took our first official family picture..i dont have a scanner to show you; but its cute.
There is not much to do here in Chengdu but walk, walk, walk, and shop, shop, shop....So thats what we did. We walked , got her some lollipops, shoes and an outfit. The prices here are CRAZY! CRAZY i tell you....i bought her some cute shoes for like $5, and outfit for $11. Crazy!
With all the walking she got sleepy and feel asleep in my arms in the sling I had her in. What a sweet moment. But now she is completely attached to me. I hand her over to Leo, and she starts to whimper softly...We actually had one good cry in the department store; she really cried....so I took her back. It's having a toll on my arms and back; but whatcha gonna do. Just love it and cherish it....
We also heard there was another family in the hotel next door to us....and funny thing is , we met them on the street. Really nice people; Andrea & Joe, w/their son Keenan...they are here from Chicago. We hope to have dinner this week; and spend time w/them in Guangzhou; we have whole week there. Plenty of time for us to get to know one another.
Other than that; Lili is doing wondeful...She giggles when I play with her, and
is just very, very quiet. One thing we learned is that she doesnt know how to swallow foods or drink out of cup. I believe it has something to do with her cleft l/p. But we are slowly teaching her. She does love to eat, so thats a good thing.
I am sitting here typing this, and she is in her pack n play wiht her toys, organizing her babies, and she fell asleep. So Easy! She's adorable...
I seriously cant wait to get her home to play with her siblings. She is going to be bored out of her mind with us; but we are doing our best to keep her entertained.
Tomorrow: We are off to the Panda Reserve; its the largest breeding sanctuary for pandas in China. This should be awesome!
I am exhausted..so im going to bed (9:02 pm).
I know you want an iPad
